All new members are required to download a copy of the rules and sign them upon entering the field.
ALL PLAYERS NEW AND OLD WILL BE REQUIRED TO TAKE A MANDATORY REPLICA HANDLING AND SAFETY ORIENTATION. NO PLAYER WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE FIELD UNTIL THEY HAVE COMPLETED THIS COURSE.
Section 1: Age Requirements
Age 10-15
Members of the 10-15 year old age group MUST have parental supervision. No more than 5 children can be supervised by one adult. All players must have signed waivers on file with South Florida Airsoft Association, Inc. If a parent cannot be present, a guardian other than a parent who is 21 years of age or older may be present. This guardian must have written and signed consent from the minor’s parent(s).
Age 16 – 17
Members of the 16-17 year old age group do not need to have his/her parent or legal guardian out on the field, but he/she must have his/her parent or legal guardian fill out the SFAA field waiver completely.
• If this waiver is not filled out completely he/she will not be able to play.
ALL PARENTAL SIGNATURES MUST BE NOTARIZED.
Age 18 and older
Members 18 years of age or older are considered an adult and can therefore accept the responsibility of his/her own actions and sign his/her own waiver. If this waiver is not filled out correctly and completely he/she will not be able to play until it is.
• Your waiver will be on file for the duration of your membership.
Section 2: Disciplinary Action
Any player not following the rules will be subject the following disciplinary action:
• First Offense: Verbal Warning
• Second Offense: Ejection from the game and written warning
• Third Offense: Suspension from the field for the remainder of the day
• Fourth Offense: Expulsion from the field completely and termination of membership.
Disciplinary action can be elevated by SFAA staff or Field Marshall according the severity of the action.
• The judgment of the SFAA staff holds supreme
• Any illegal activity will be reported to the proper authorities.
Section 3: Eye Protection
The following are the guidelines and enforced rules to ensure your safety while on the field. These guidelines will be upheld for any airsoft or recreational event sponsored or affiliated with SFAA
• FULL SEAL EYE PROTECTION IS MANDATORY.
• Eye protection is required at all times while on the field or firing range at the field.
• Shooting glasses or mesh goggles are not allowed at any given time!
• Military Grade : MIL-V-43511C or ANSI Z87.1 certified goggles are required. If unsure whether your goggles meet the rigorous guidelines, contact the manufacturer.
• Full-Face protection is required for players ages 10-15 (i.e. Full-Face mask, Mesh mask, Balaclava, Shemagh, etc.)
• Paintball mask are acceptable
• Do not remove your eyewear for any reason while on the field!
IF THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES ARE DISREGARDED, THE PLAYER WILL BE GIVEN DISCIPLINARY ACTION.

Section 4: General Field Guidelines & Game Day Briefing
• BIO-DEGRADABLE BBs ARE REQUIRED (If a player is not using Bio-BBs, he/she will not be permitted to play) SPOT CHECKS WILL BE IN EFFECT.
• ANY PLAYER FOUND USING BBs OTHER THAN BIO BBs WILL BE EXPELLED FROM THE FIELD AND BANNED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
• BARREL COVERS ARE MANDATORY ON ALL AIRSOFT GUNS WHILE IN STAGING AREA.
• You may not falsely display any Armed Forces credentials that you yourself have not earned. i.e. Special Forces patches, tabs and unit patches.
• All airsoft replicas must be transported in a closed case or manufacturers original packaging. Towels or blankets are not acceptable.
• When game or safety briefings are called, everyone must give their undivided attention to the briefing
• Please do not talk during rules or game briefings. If you have a question, raise your hand.
• Park in the designated areas only.
• Please take all trash with you when you leave the area.
• Please responsible and report any lost or found items to the SFAA staff.
• Boots or Sneakers only. No open toed shoes or sandals.
• FOUL, INTIMIDATING, OR ABUSIVE LANGUAGE IS NOT ALLOWED.
• FIGHTING, VERBAL OR NON•VERBAL, WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. PROPER DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS WILL BE GIVEN (REFER TO SECTION 2)
• REAL WEAPONS SUCH AS KNIVES, REAL FIREARMS, OR ANY LETHAL AND LESS-THAN-LETHAL WEAPONS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
• CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES AND ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE PROHIBITED.
• Please bring plenty of food and hydration to last the whole day
IF THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES ARE DISREGARDED, THE PLAYER WILL BE GIVEN DISCIPLINARY ACTION.

Section 5: Airsoft Replica Safety and Field Rules
• Treat every airsoft replica as if it is loaded
• Do not point you airsoft replica in the direction of anyone until the game is underway, and you are within the firing boundaries.
• Magazines out and safeties on while game play is not underway, and in the Safety/Neutral zone
• Pistols may be loaded, but must remain holstered in the Safety/Neutral zone
• M203 shells may NOT be stored loaded in the airsoft gun in between games; they may be stored loaded in a pouch.
• CALL YOUR HITS! When struck by a BB yell hit, hold your hand or replica in the air so the individual shooting at you knows to stop shooting at you.
• Gun hits and ricochets DO NOT count
• The minimum engagement distance for airsoft pistols is 5 feet
• The minimum engagement distance for airsoft replicas shooting up to 400 fps is 10 feet
• The minimum engagement distance for airsoft replicas shooting in excess of 400 fps is 100 feet
• If within the minimum engagement distance of you airsoft gun and you have the individual with no questions asked, shout BANG! This should be honored as a “kill”
• BLIND FIRE IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED. The player must be able to look down the sights of his/her airsoft replica to shoot the individual.
• If you hear “Blind Man”, cease fire and relay the message until the staff recommence the game; “Blind Man” is an individual on the field without eye protection on.
• If you hear “Cold Field”, cease fire and relay the message until the SFAA staff recommence the game; “Cold Field” when nobody is suppose to fire on the field.
• Refrain from yelling “Call your hits” it is unsportsmanlike and disrupts the game. If you have an issue, bring it up with either the Field Marshall or SFAA staff
• Pyrotechnics of any kind are not allowed on the field.
• Admin radio channel is always 1
IF THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES ARE DISREGARDED, THE PLAYER WILL BE GIVEN DISCIPLINARY ACTION.

Section 6: Field Velocity Regulations (Measured with .20 gram BBs)
All airsoft replicas will be chronographed upon entering the field. If you exceed these requirements you will be asked to leave the
airsoft replica in your case and it cannot be used on the field.
• AEG (Automatic Electric Guns) will be limited to 400 fps
• GBB & GBBR (Gas Blowback pistols and rifles) are limited to 400 fps
• DMRs (only capable of shooting semi•auto) are limited to 500 fps
• Bolt-action sniper rifles are limited to 550 fps
FPS rules are subject to change depending upon event.
Section 7: Recommended items
Walkie-Talkie
• Allows for team communication
• Aids in the event of emergency
Red “Kill Rag”
• If you are dead, place it on your head to specify that you are dead
• You have a gun and are dressed in camo, enemies may think you are still alive otherwise… this can be prevented most of the time with a Kill rag
• If you do not have a kill rag, raise your weapon up with your head down and keep calling things like “dead man walking, I’m out… etc”.
• Just because you call hit doesn’t mean everyone in the Field knows that. When you are traveling back to respawn or staging and keep your gun raised or above your head.
