A Letter from the SFAA President
To all community members and supporters,
I would first like to thank everyone that has gotten us to the point where we are. We are still far from our goal, however we will not stop until this goal is reached. For the past few weeks, we have been dealing with some personal issues and had to step back for a bit to get things in order.
We are working very hard on getting it all back on track. We have some prizes to give away as well as new items to give away as gifts. Lots of promotions coming as well as other great fundraisers to help us get over this small hurdle. There has been a large influx of help from outside the Florida Airsoft community and we cannot thank the airsoft community enough for all that you have been doing. Players, retailers, manufacturers from California to Denmark we have been getting support. This just goes to show that the entire community sees the potential in this project. A chance for the public to understand the appeal of airsoft to not only minors, but to everyone that participates in this great sport.
With that said, again, I would like to thank everyone that has been standing behind us and supporting us. It is more appreciated and we are more grateful than you can ever imagine. We will not stop, and we will not fail.

A Tragic Day for Our Navy SEALs
Tragic news hit us recently when a Chinook helicopter was shot down in Afghanistan. On that heli were 25 US Navy SEALs. All are no longer with us. This is one of the largest losses of Special Forces since this war began. To help with the families and loved ones who lost someone close to them, The SFAA is going to donate 50% of all donations to the Navy SEAL Foundation in hopes to help the families who lost someone. Remember, It’s About Honor and Integrity
Every once in a while, each player gets caught up in the heat of the moment. Maybe its the heat, maybe its just that competitive edge most of has. But, in the end we all need to remember two very important things. This sport we play is about honor and integrity. As players, we tend to emulate the men and women of our armed forces and because of that we should emulate them with the honor that they show us. Respect your fellow players as you would those who wear the uniform for a living.
But, I digress. As I stated, we get caught up in the heat of it all. Tempers can rise fairly quickly and it is up to the better player to step back, breathe and approach the situation in a calm collect manner. Take a few moments before saying something to collect your thoughts. Then speak your peace, it will be amazing how far a little respect can go. This is the way to play airsoft.

Mindgame Productions to Host 16+ Games!
You heard that correctly. For many that do not know, Mindgame Productions, one of Florida’s most well known scenario companies usually caters to just the 18 year old and up only crowd. But a recent announcement from SHWELL has told us that the great people over at Mindgame Productions have changed that, allowing now minors from ages 16 and up. This is huge news for the airsoft community which only shows the growth of our sport. 10 Ways to Stay Hydrated This Summer
We all know it can get really hot down here. Put aside the normal heat, but humidity is not our friend. Airsoft and heat can be a deadly combination. We are the SFAA take your safety and health serious. This article can help you beat the heat and keep yourself from getting dehydrated. This article was taken from www.fitsugar.com
While it’s always a good idea to stay hydrated, it’s especially important when the temps of Summer start rising. Whether you’re spending your vacation camping and hiking or just doing more outdoor daily activities like biking and walking, I’ve got some tips for how you can stay hydrated during the warm weather months.
- Eat your water. Chowing down on water-filled foods like watermelon, is an easy and refreshing way to keep hydrated.
- Swap soda for sparkling water. If you’re trying to kick a soda habit, sparkling water is a healthy, but still fizzy, alternative.
- Hydrate before exercising. Be sure to drink water before exercising to maximize your workout.
- Drink water on the plane. If you’re traveling this Summer, don’t forget to drink up the H2O on the plane.
- Stay hydrated at work. Even when working indoors, it’s important to keep the fluids handy.

SFAA Speaks Up Against CA SB798
President and Founder of the SFAA Dan Stein, voicing is opinion on SB798 and how working with the airsoft community is more beneficial than working against the airsoft community.

The entire airsoft community is at risk and we need everyone’s help! Here are things that you can do to help. Even if you do not live in CA, you can write a letter and call. Let the Senate know that even here in Florida you care!
Facts about SB 798
1. If we do not stand up by calling & email. It WILL pass. If we fight, there is a chance sb798 will not pass.
2. Hearing and voting is on 6/21
3. It will not only affect CA, but rest of the country. Most of large wholesalers are in CA.
4. www.airsoftsafetyfoundation.org is leading the fight with its lobbyists & lawyers. ASF.org need your help by spreading the awareness of SB798 or donation.
Dr. Airsoft has shared a quick update on SB 798. This video includes a “walking tour” from the security entrance on the North side of the Capitol to Room 126. Come to the hearing on June 21, 2011, if you can. Let the Committee members know that making airsoft guns look more toy-like will result in more injuries in children.

We Are Working On A Promo Video
The SFAA is looking for some volunteers to help out with our promotional video. This video is going to help raise not only awareness of our organization, but airsoft in general. We are looking for videographers, photographers and airsoft players. All time and work is on a volunteer basis and an agreement of non disclosure to ensure that the field location is not told. We will have a BBQ after for everyone involved at the end of the day. If you would like to be a part of something new and exciting, do not hesitate to contact us at info@sf-aa.org.

That is correct. I am pleased to announce that we have received our first donation all the way from Australia. Now this is huge, because airsoft is not legal in Australia. There are players who are working just as hard as we are to help get airsoft legalized. The SFAA is going to help do their part and send some letters their way.
